The horizontal type filling and packaging machine provides a continuous cycle of weighing and dosing of hard-to-flow dust-forming products (medical powders, seasonings, spices, dry milk, ground coffee) and packing them into portioned sachet-type packaging (sachet-package) made of polymer films (polypropylene, duplex, triplex, laminated paper, nylon, filter paper). The packaging process requires virtually no human intervention and is fully automated.

The equipment consists of a horizontal packaging machine and a weigh batcher.

The horizontal arrangement of the packaging machine allows, with a minimum distance of product fall from the batcher, to pack dusty hard-to-flowing products with the most accurate dosage.

Description of work.

The packaged products are poured through the neck of the storage bin onto a vibrating feeder (vibrating chute), which, vibrating with a given amplitude, feeds the products into a weighing bucket, which is fixed on a strain gauge (strain gauge). When the specified weight parameters are reached, the strain gauge sends a signal to the control unit of the weigh batcher, which stops the vibrating feeder, stopping the supply of packaged products.

When receiving a signal from the control unit of the packaging machine, the controller of the weigh batcher sends a signal to open the bucket, which opens and pours its contents into the receiving funnel. Through the funnel tube, the product is poured into a formed sachet package, using a special opener. At this time, the controller again turns on the vibrating feeder to fill the weighing bucket with the next portion of the packaged products.

The operation of the horizontal packaging machine is controlled by a controller located in the metal control unit, which controls the pneumatic drive system and activates the soldering unit of the horizontal packer. The soldering unit of the packaging machine operates on the principle of constant heating and seals the seams of the sachet package with a “euro-roche” type of seam.

At the moment of sealing the bottom and side seams of the sachet package, the package is shifted to the specified length, due to a special unit for pulling the packaging material, which also helps to unwind the roll of film and fold it into a half-sleeve.

When the packaging material pulling unit reaches the extreme point, the filled sachet package is separated by cutting the film with a mechanical knife. At the same time, the controller of the packaging machine sends an impulse to the weigh batcher controller (the “Unloading” signal), filling the next sachet package. The cut sachet package falls along an inclined tray to the floor, into a special container (box) or onto a discharge conveyor.

Additionally, the packaging machine controller tracks the end or breakage of packaging material, the operation of the machine by photo mark or by the length of the package, and other emergency operating moments.

Peculiarities.

The horizontal filling and packaging machine is optimal for portion packaging of various bulk products, such as salt, sugar, instant and ground coffee, tea, seasonings, spices, citric acid, and medical products. Given the characteristics of the weigh batcher, this packaging equipment allows you to arbitrarily change the portions of the packaged product, as well as achieve the most accurate dosage. It has no restrictions on changing the packaged product.

The use of this packaging machine allows you to get convenient packaging in the form of a rectangular or square bag with 3 or 4 seams (sachet package, “sachet”).

The filling and packaging machine is installed on a hard surface in a horizontal position, for which built-in adjustable supports serve. This model of the machine has restrictions on the width of the film used and the height of the formed sachet packaging, specified in the technical specifications.

The horizontal packaging machine is available in the following models: AF-35-SG3-B1, AF-35-SG3-B2, AF-35-SG3-B3, AF-35-SG3-B4 and AF-35-SG4-B1, AF-35-SG4-B2, AF-35-SG4-B3, AF-35-SG4-B4. The difference between them is in the number of sachet packaging seams and the number of weighing buckets (“streams”): in AF-35-SG3-B1, AF-35-SG4-B1 – 1 “stream”, with a capacity of up to 300 packages/hour, and in AF-35-S3B4, AF-35-SG4-B4 respectively 4 “streams”, with a capacity of up to 1,200 packages/hour. AF-35-SG3 and AF-35-SG4 differ from each other in the ability to produce 3- or 4-seam sachet bags.
